Words to start from
What to write in a sympathy card.
You do not need perfect words. Say you are sorry, share a memory of the person if you have one, and let them know you are there.
I’m so sorry for your loss. No words can ease the pain, but please know I’m thinking of you and I’m here for you.
Holding you close in my thoughts. If you need anything at all, a meal, a walk or just someone to listen, I’m here.
With deepest sympathy and love.
They are in the card maker too, under Suggested Messages. Use one as it is, or make it your own.
